So, friday night after almost two weeks in California. Staying in tonight...wait, just like every night so far. Only because I am unemployed. Hopefully that will change soon. However, I have yet to be bored. There is so much to do when it is 80 degrees and the sun is shining. Hiking, biking, beach, outside cafe people watching...no more of these freezing cold lazy days for me. I've had enough of them to last me for the rest of my life. I love being in California! I've been reading quite alot lately. Actually, I am always reading quite alot. Switching back and forth among two or three, depending on my mood. I'll start a new book today. Augusten Burroughs' "Dry". I've read "Running With Scissors", by the same author, which is ultimately fucked up, but good. Also, I'm reading about Friedrich Nietzsche, "The Philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche" by H.L. Mencken. I am interested but mostly because my German friend, Oliver, refers to him often and I'd like to know if I agree with what this dude is all about. Nietzsche, I mean. |
